Happy Friday: Waiting Game!

Posted on by Patricia Leever

Happy Friday my foofernoodly little love monkeys! Did you round up this week and hog tie it into submission? You’re yippee-yee-haw right you did!

Now, I don’t know about y’all or your young, but mine have 4 days off for President’s Day. I was so looking forward to it too because I haven’t had a chance to sleep in for the past two weekends and I thought, “Hey, I’ve got 4 days of sleeping in!” Sounds awesome right? Yeah, it would have been had I not woken up spontaneously at 6am.

DAMN YOU INTERNAL CLOCK!!!

But I digress.

So, let’s get back tot he task at hand, the title of this wee little blog. Well, Wednesday night I sent off the query letter and synopsis to my publisher for my latest project! I’m super excited about this one and I really hope it all goes well and they love it as much as I do. And I’m not going to lie, I’m also nervous that they WON’T love it as much as I do, or at all. I won’t know for a good couple weeks and so begins this round of the waiting game. What does that mean? Well, lots of non-sleep for one, which could probably be why I woke up at the ass crack of dawn. It also means that I’m going to be fused to my phone, leaping at it every time an email comes through. It also means that I’m going to be a nervous wreck because as cool as I try to be, on the inside I’m freaking the heck out! But have no fear, as soon as I know anything, you’ll know.

And that is all I have for you today, cross your fingers for me, I’ll be crossing all possible crossable body parts, lighting candles, burning sage and all that good luck business. Stay tuned for more blogging fun next week!

Until next time,

Patty <3

Hidey ho my bouncy little love monkeys!

I know I missed Monday’s Oh My Monday blog, but in my defense, I was nursing a serious Disneyland hangover. I give it up to those that can spend more than two days at the “happiest place on earth” because if I had been there for more than those two days, I might have wound up on the news as the psycho lady that went after Mickey with a shiv or something. One can only take so many Mickey shaped food and that much happy before one just loses one’s mind. Just sayin. And this is beside the fact that I started coming down with a migraine. Lemme tell ya, migraines and Disneyland do NOT mix!

Anyhoo, it’s Thursday and you know what that means..

Oh yeah, you are looking at that right! It is a photo of a leaping (bouncing if you will) Abe Lincoln, fighting ZOMBIES! Isn’t that the coolest thing EVER?!?! That is almost as cool as the car window sticker with a zombie family that says, “We ate your stick family” oh yeah, I’m on the hunt for that sticker for my van!

But, I digress, it’s Thursday and that means that it’s time for Omnific’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce!

Click on over and see who’s bouncing with us, join in and have some fun!

Well, that’s all I have for you today my lovelies, stay tuned for more blogging fun!

Until next time,

Happy Friday: 80s Blog Bounce!

Posted on by Patricia Leever

Happy Friday my rad little love monkeys! Did you like, take this week down to the Galleria and gag it with a spoon? Like, oh my God, you’re like totally right you did, to the max!

So, I have a little something special for you today! Today I’m taking part in a special blog bounce that I just couldn’t resist

Being a child of the 80s I absolutely had to participate!

Now, I was going to try to go with someone cool, because I had a lot of crushes in the 80s, and I asked my husband who I should go with.

Adam Ant

Kinda explains the pirate fascination a little bit, doesn’t it 😉

or if I should go with George Michael

Let’s face it, he was the shiz back in the day.

However, my husband asked why I wasn’t doing my MASSIVE crush from the 80s. The group that I obsessed over so massively that not only did I belong to their official fan club, I’d seen them in concert, damn near slept out overnight to see them on the Arsenio Hall Show and yes, I had pillow cases with their faces. I was even fortunate enough to be able to take part in a commercial with them! My obsession was so great that when they showed up to perform on last year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, I actually got all giggly and stupid when they stepped on stage and started to sing.

I’m not going to lie, I was slightly embarrassed to admit this because I was among their “older” fanbase, but in my defense 4 out of the 5 were my age, damn it!

So here it is, my crush from the 80s, they helped ring in the “boy band” era, New Kids On The Block!

Yep, there they are in all their glory! Yes, I knew the “New Kids Dance” and could do the entire dance from the Right Stuff video

Now come on, you know you are all gettin your groove on right now! And you have to admit, they grew up nice, right?

Who knew that the baby of the group, little Joey McIntyre, would turn out so yummy?!?

So yeah, there it is, I love the New Kids On The Block and I’m owning it!

Who was your 80s crush? Check out all the blogs and bounce down memory lane with us! Thank you to my home girl, Nicki Elson from Nicki Elson’s Not-So-Deep Thoughts and her cohorts, Suze from Analog Breakfast and M. Pax from Wistful Nebulae for hosting this totally awesome blog bounce!

Well, that’s all I have for you this week, I’m heading off the Magical Kingdom this this weekend! That’s right, watch your tail Mickey, I’m coming for YOU!

Stay tuned for more blogging fun next week!

Until next time,

Patty <3

Hidey ho my sweet little love monkeys!

Are you getting all geared up for Valentine’s Day?

Yeah, our Valentine’s Day is different from the average Valentine’s Day because my girls, were born on Valentine’s Day!

That’s right, my wee little, pre-teen hormone filled darlings were brought into the world with just 13 and 14 minutes to spare. That seems to bring a whole new perspective to this holiday of love as we try to focus on their birthday.

Don’t get me wrong, the hubs always does a little something special for me on said day. Let’s take last year for example. Last year, my darling husband had a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries delivered to me<3 He truly is a doll and I adore the piss out of him.

Now, mind you as I took a bite of the first chocolate covered strawberry I cracked a joke, made myself laugh and literally inhaled half of the chocolate covered strawberry. Oh yeah, I was sexy as hell and I choked and gagged for air, getting not only chocolate but pieces of strawberry lodged into my nosticular cavity. And I’m here to tell you, blowing chocolate or strawberry bits out of your nose isn’t as fun as it sounds. Kinda burns.

But, I digress, it was the thought that counts right? So, what is your best/funniest/sweetest Valentine’s Day moment?

And as you know it’s Thursday and you know what that means, it’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce! time!

Yeah, that’s a bouncing heart!

Don’t forget to check out the other blogs on the bounce as well as Omnific’s own blog *psssst there is a giveaway*

That’s all I have for you today my darlings! Stay tuned for some 80’s fun tomorrow!!

Until next time,

Patty <3

Oh My Monday!

Posted on by Patricia Leever

Greetings my sweet and gorgeous love monkeys!

So, who woke up like this today?

Or this

Or God forbid this!

If so, I’m here for you, because..

The weird thing is, I didn’t have a single drink, but I still feel like this. Probably because we had a birthday party for the twins and then went right from that into a Super Bowl party. Party times from 11-7 last night. I’m freaking pooped man!

I have to know, what did you think of Madonna’s Halftime show? I gotta say, and I’m a Madonna fan, I was seriously underwhelmed. It started off with promise but then it just sort of went downhill from there for me. And I understand that in circumstances such as a Super Bowl Halftime show might call for lip-syncing, but it was bad lip-syncing. Really bad. I did enjoy CeeLo because he at least looked like he was really singing and of course, LMAFO because quite frankly, they make me LMAFO!

As far as the next book is going, I’ve only got three chapters and an epilogue to go through and pass on to my pre-reader before I pitch it to the publisher! I start to work like a madwoman at this point because I start to get excited for the end. It’s so weird because I wrote the damn thing and yet the energy and tension feeds me as if I was creating it for the first time. I don’t know maybe my fellow authors will understand that or maybe I’m just a weirdo 😛

Well, that’s all I have for you today my darlings, have a glorious day and stay tuned for more blogtastic fun later in the week!

Until next time,

Patty <3

Happy Friday: Thank You Croatia!

Posted on by Patricia Leever

Happy Friday my delicious little love monkeys! Did you shove this week out of its hidey hole to see if it saw its shadow? You’re Punxsutawney right you did!

So you might be asking yourself, “Self, why oh why is Patty thanking the Slavic Nation of Crotia?”

Well, first, they brought us the absolutely lickable, Goran Visnjic..

I mean, that, in and of itself is grounds for thanking the Republic of Croatia, am I right?

I remember the first time I saw Goran in Practical Magic, one of my favorite movies of all time! Yeah, he played a creep, but dadgum he was pretty and he’s one of those men that has just gotten better looking with age. YUM!

Anyhoo, I digress, what brought me to post this blog in the first place was on a recent episode of Glee (holla to the Gleeks out there) I was reminded of two very talented Croatian musicians Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, otherwise known as, 2Cellos. They play rock music on cellos and OMG they are absolutely amazing! I’d seen them before months ago on my local news and was completely astounded by what they could do with a pair of cellos!

Now, you know I’m working on my next book, still in the pre-read phase. I’d been searching for music to set the tone in my head for certain parts and nothing seemed to be putting me in the right frame of mind. I’d find things that were close, but lyrics kept getting in the way and clogging my creative flow. So when I heard 2Cellos I pulled them up and devoured their CD and one song really struck with the part I was working on last night and I set it on a loop.

Oh yeah, you’re hearing that right, they are working Welcome To The Jungle on mofo cellos baby! The sound and the intensity behind this really drove the creative muse in my head and I wrote like a mad woman 🙂

So yes, thank you to the great Republic of Croatia for cranking out brilliant musicians and pretty men, because I’m not gonna lie, Luka and Stjepan are not exactly hard on ye olde eyeballs…

Just sayin 😉

Well, that’s all I have for you today, be good monkeys this weekend and enjoy the Superbowl! I’m rooting for the Patriots because Tom Brady is pretty, that’s pretty much my only reasoning and I make no apologies for it 🙂 Stay tuned for next weeks blog fun!

Until next time,

Patty <3

Hidey ho my wonderful little love monkeys! HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!

Do you know what this is?

Yep, it’s a bouncing groundhog! How do I find these things you ask? Well, I search the web until I look something like this..

Granted I look like that on the regular, oh yeah, the bars on my cage had the paint chewed off YEARS ago. ‘Splains a lot don’t it 😉

So tell me, did you see YOUR shadow this morning? Well, I hear that the groundhog did and we are headed for six more weeks of winter. Now, if you remember, I’m a southern California gal so my winter is 70 degrees and I can handle six more weeks of that kind of winter 🙂

Okay, I know it’s been a while, but I’m sure you remember the drill, it’s Thursday and that means it’s time for Omnific Publishing’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce!

Check out the bounce and bounce along with us!

Have a great day my darlings and I hope your Groundhog Day is a good one! Stay tuned for more blog fun!!

Until next time,
