to my blog?!
Greetings my sparkly little love monkeys!
So my brilliant sisters over at Omnific Publishing have come up with this super fun thing, having a Twitter Party and giving away a crapton of ebooks! Here’s the deets…
What: A Twitter Party with Omnific Authors!
When: Friday May 31, 2013
7:00 PM EST
Where: Well, Twitter!
Now, ’bout this entry b’ness, that’s where the scavenger hunt comes in! We (the authors) have all been given a numbered letter and what you (the enter-er) need to do is go around to all of the blogs from said participating authors and gather all of the numbered letters for a secret word! How awesomely fun is THAT?!?! After you’ve gotten the secret word figured out, you just enter it into the little deeliebobber entry form thing below with your Twitter handle and VOILA you are entered! The entries will be open from today until the end of the Twitter party tomorrow #Omnilicious
And don’t forget to come on over the Twitter party and chat with your favorite Omnific authors! You can follow the conversation by following #Omnilicious
Alrighty, now for my numbered letter
Just so there is no confusion, that is an “S” not an “8″ see, look at the word “Scavenger” underneath
And one last thing, make sure you head here to for the links to find all of the other numbered letters!

Greetings my gorgeous little love monkeys!
It’s been a crazy week and it’s only halfway through AND I don’t see it slowing down for the remainder of the week OR next week. Man alive! For one thing, my oldest son graduates high school in a week. ONE FREAKING WEEK! Okay, who stuffed me into the super fast-forward machine and set it to hyper-drive? I mean, just the other day he was like this
And then before I could blink he’s like this
Where does the time go man? So, needless to say I’m running around like a maniac, trying to wrap my head around all of this. I feel like Kate Winslet on the bow of the Titanic but instead of leaning into the wind and feeling all free and easy I feel like I’m careening toward the iceberg and 11ty million MPH. And on top of that my girls, my BABIES, are getting ready to head into junior high the middle boy is getting his learners permit this summer.
Seriously, someone stop this thing!
Okay, yeah, it’s nice to have virtually self-sufficient kids, I’m not going to lie that part is nice. Years ago, when the kids were really small, my mom told me to enjoy it because it all went by so fast and she wasn’t kidding! Time screams by you before you even realize that it’s moving faster than light speed.
Alright, let’s stop this mushy crap before I burst into tears. Again. How about an update on my quest to be fit? Okie dokie.
I’m still walking every day, a minimum of 2 miles. I say that because earlier this week, Monday night to be exact, I sneezed in a weird position and pulled my abdominal muscle really bad. Yeah, I couldn’t pull it doing something cool, I’m the dork that gets thwarted by a sneeze. So, yesterday I contemplated not even walking because the pain was really severe. But I thought about it and decided that I needed to at least try. About 5 mins into my walk, I almost gave in. I almost threw away 2 weeks of progress because I wasn’t keeping up the pace I had been and as I was pushing toward the bridge over Orchard Village Drive (super steep incline) I nearly turned around and headed for home. I was three steps away from it, to be precise. So instead of giving up because I couldn’t do what I had done, I thought on the fly. Instead of really hurting myself by trying the bridge in order to keep with my usual route, I took the round about at the end of the bridge and made three laps around the park instead. Instead of beating myself up because I had to take a step back, I allowed myself TO take a step back to be able to take more steps forward in the future. I realized that a backward step is better than no steps. Taking it down a notch and slowing it down was better than stopping all together.
In short, I needed to get out of my own head and take a look at the big picture. If I would have given in yesterday, I may very well have given in today and tomorrow because I’m hitting a hump. I can see it, I can feel it. It started over the weekend, at the two week mark. It’s harder and I don’t want to do it. I don’t WANT to get up and walk right now. It feels like the “enjoyable” window is closing and I could give in and let it close or I could pry that mofo open and nail that bad boy up because I’ll be damned if I’m going to stop now!
One more thing before I go, I know I’ve been remiss in posting photos for the Photo-A-Day in May, but I have been taking photos and they are all up in a Facebook album HERE!
That’s all I have for you today my sparkly rays of love monkey sunshine! Be good to yourselves and get out of your own way
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my sparkly little love monkeys! It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday so I’ve gotten together with my fellow Omnific Sisters to pay homage to those special ladies in our lives.
I’m here to talk about this lady
Wait, hang on, as much as I love this beautiful photo of my mom, I have to be honest, that isn’t the real her.
THERE SHE IS! This, ladies and germs is the lady I know. My mom, a lady that isn’t afraid to let the wind in her hair, literally!
In all seriousness there aren’t words to express my love and adoration of my mom. She’s not only my mom, but she’s my best friend.
Yeah, when my brother and I were kids we drove her bonkers. But beside all the times we made her want to pull all her hair out, move to Outer Mongolia, change her name and take up sheep herding, she taught me a lot. She taught me how to be a strong woman, to stand up for myself and not take anyone’s crap. She taught me that being a mom may not be a “glory” job but it is the most rewarding and sometimes the most heartbreaking one that there is. She taught me that it’s okay, as a mom, to feel like you want to pull all your hair out, move to Outer Mongolia, change your name and take up sheep herding. She’s lifted me up when I needed a boost and taken me down a peg or two when it was needed. She keeps me grounded and I know that no matter what, she has my back. She has stood beside me every step of the way through my journey into publication and I’ll tell you what, she is the best little pimper out there! I don’t think there is a person that has met her in recent years that has not heard the words, “my daughter, the author/writer” come out of her mouth because God love her, she will work that into a conversation if she has to bend over backwards and do a cartwheel. She truly is the best not to mention she’s not afraid to do this…
Or this…
Or even this…
Yep, couldn’t ask for a better role model, I just hope that I’m doing her proud.
Until next time,
Patty <3
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the Photo-A-Day in May photo!

Okie dokie my special little love monkeys, just popping in for Day 7 & 8 in the Photo-A-Day in May!
Day 7 was: Something Beginning With F
I chose this because it’s a frame, it’s my favorite and it’s filled with photos of my family! That’s four Fs!
Day 8 is: Shape
This is the space above my fireplace and I chose this because of the copper leaf piece. I found that first and just fell in love with the shape of it
That’s all for today!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings sparkly little love monkeys! I hope the weekend was good to you!
Just popping in for today’s Photo-A-Day in May!!
Broken
Yep, that’s my crock pot. Actually, it’s one of my crock pots. Yes, I have more than one but in my defense they are all in different sizes for all of my many crock pot needs. This is my medium size one and the handle is only broken on one side and really, I’m not running around the house carrying around a crock pot. You plug it in, fill it up, turn it on and leave it. So yeah, I’m hanging onto this bad boy for as long as I can.
That’s it darlings, have a great Monday!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidey ho my shiny little love monkeys! Just popping in for my weekend edition of Photo-A-Day in May!
Day 4: In My Cup. Yes, there is coffee somewhere in amongst the cream
Day 5: Paper. So naturally I took a photo of my paperback. One that I wrote, with the people that live in my very own little brain
Have a great weekend!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my splendiferous little love monkeys! Did you grab this week by it’s proverbial horns and take it down like the bitch that it is? You’re fling-flanging right you did!
Dang I hadn’t realized how much I missed doing the “Happy Friday” until just now. So glad to be back in the swing!
Okay this week I started a self imposed fitness program. Why? Well, ever since I got sick in March and had to change my diet I figured, if I was changing what I ate to keep myself healthy, why stop there? And because I was tired of being a sedentary creature. Luckily I’m quite a realistic thinker, shocking I know since I’m a novelist, but in everything outside of my books I am very steeped in reality. I know that I’m not fit and I know that this isn’t going to be an overnight transformation. I also know that I’m going to have to sweat, which I hate to do, and I know that the biggest obstacle that I’m going to face is myself. I know that this is going to be the hardest part, the fight with myself to get off of my ass and get out there and move.
I also have to remind myself that I crawled before I walked, I took baby steps before I walked sure, and that I walked sure before I ran. Period. It isn’t brain surgery. So why is it so hard? Partly because it just is. It’s harder to stand up and do something than it is to just sit back and watch. It’s like that with everything in life so why should this be any different? The answer is simple, it’s not. I need to take the words of Tallahassee from one of my favorite movies Zombieland, “Nut up or shut up” or as I like to say, “Grow a set of tits and just do it!”
Granted this isn’t the first time I’ve tried to get fit but I really think that this is the first time I’m actually serious about it. In my past efforts I let the smallest thing thwart me. A cold, the weather, time, a hangnail…anything that I could think of. I always thought that it was the universe’s way of telling me that it wanted me to stay sedentary and I accepted that. Until now. Take last night for example. Last night I did a faceplant in the front yard. Seriously, I went down hard. Yeah this morning I feel like I got into a fight with a baseball bat and lost but I dragged my ass out of bed, I got dressed and I got out there. You know what? I went farther and faster than I had all week. Today I looked the universe in the eye and gave it the big ol’ bird! Today I said, you may want me fat, dumb and happy, universe, but you are going to have to settle for FIT, dumb and happy!
That is going to be my new slogan!
Oh! I got so worked up about that that I almost forgot about the Photo-A-Day in May! I don’t know why because it’s in the title of this blog,
This Is Really Good!
I know, you were expecting food right? I thought I’d go outside of the box with this one because sunscreen IS really good and this is my favorite. Okay so I guess when you are looking at SPF 50 it is not so much sun SCREEN but more sun BLOCK but remember, I’m a pasty white, Irish/English girl. My people don’t tan, we hail from countries with no sun. I have two colors, white and red. If I want any shade of “brown” I have to buy it and apply it.
Well, that’s all I have for you today my darling little love monkeys! Stay tuned because I will be posting photos over the weekend as well! Stay safe and move, no matter if it’s for 60 mins or 6 minutes just move!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hola my sparkly little love monkeys! It is Day 2 in the Photo-A-Day in May challenge and today’s photo is “Morning Ritual”
Yeah. Aren’t I a lucky duck? I mean, who wouldn’t want to start their day with a glass full of baby aspirin flavored sand? But, alas, as much as I loathe just the sight of the Citrucel container, doc says I gots ta take it. And let’s face it, the alternative just really REALLY sucks. So here I am, swilling my gunk and sticking to my high fiber diet.
At least my body is FINALLY getting used to all this fiber. For a good 6 weeks I don’t think that there was a waking moment that I wasn’t farting. Seriously! I mean, I’m not even gonna sit here and tell you that I’m not a farter because I hope to shout I fart more than the average person. And I own it! Hell, I established that fact with the hubs whilst we were still dating. I figured if he was going to marry me, he’d have to marry me farts and all and I wasn’t about to go scurrying off into the other room to crack off a fart. We’d never be in the same room for crying out loud! I know women that wouldn’t even DREAM of farting in front of their man, but dadgum, I’m human and I fart. Guess what, I poop too!
Life’s people, fart it up while you can!
Until next time,
Patty *pphhfft*
Greetings my delightful little love monkeys! Yes, it is May and guess what, I’m not dead!! (Not that it wasn’t close, too close for MY comfort anyway, but I digress)
YAY!!!

So, what’s new with all of my glorious little love monkeys? Has the world been treating you well?
What’s that? What’s new with ME? Well a couple of things! After thinking it would never happen, I FINALLY got the outline down for the sequel to Divinity, Entity! Man alive, I didn’t think it would ever come out of me but that sucker shot out of my fingers and onto the keyboard like I was bleeding it! No joke, by the end of it I was crying so hard that hubs came home and thought someone had died. I’m so excited! I can’t wait to share little bits with my love monkeys!!
Another thing, starting August 5th, I’m joining some of my Omnific Publishing sisters; Nicki Elson, Carol Oats, and Debra Anastasia for a special Omnific Angels event! Stay tuned for deets, it’s gonna be AWESOME!
And finally, I found this on Facebook the other day
Yep, it’s a Photo-A-Day in MAY! Doesn’t this look fun? I thought so, so here we go, today is May 1st and today’s picture is “I Bought This”
Why yes, that IS a melon slicer and yes, I bought it! Isn’t it cool? So, if you feel so inclined join in on the fun! Post it here, post it on your Facebook and if we aren’t Facebook friends, let’s fix that! FACEBOOK!
Well, that’s all I have for you today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another photo! Have a fantabulous day my delicious little love monkeys and stay tuned!
Until next time,
Patty <3

Greetings and salutations in this New Year my fantabulous little love monkeys!
Well, since it has been about a thousand years and nine days since I blogged last, I figured I’d come back with a giveaway because I know everyone likes freebies. I know I do
So, I joined in on the Happy Endings Giveaway Hop because I’m a sucker for an happy ending. Some people enjoy reading books that will rip their heart out, swing it around the room a few times, throw it to the floor and stomp all over it. And that’s cool, whatever blows up your skirt.
For me, I’m all about the HEA (Happily Ever After) when I read. I mean, a really good HEA will make me cry anyway so if I’m going to cry at an ending I’d rather it be a “happy” cry than a “my-heart-just-got-run-through-a-blender” cry.
So, I’m giving away all of my books because they are all HEA! That’s right, you win an ecopy of Cat O’ Nine Tails, Clarity and Divinity! And since we’re talking ebooks, this sucker is up anyone in any corner of the world! International baby!!
And don’t forget to head over and check out the other blogs in the hop, there is 100 different blogs and every one of them is giving something away, hosted by Reading Romances!
For my part, I’m working the Rafflecopter route again, it’s so much easier for everyone yeah?
Just click the link and you have several options to enter, do one or do them all for more chances to win!
That’s it my darling little love monkeys, good luck!
Until next time,
Patty <3

Now, onto zombie march news! I’m so excited for the march!! I have purchased the most awesome thing ever, a zombie baby! We’re not talking any old zombie baby, oh no, Horace (yes I named him) doesn’t just sit there doing nothing, he wiggles, growls and laughs when you push his belly! You have no idea how much I love his little veiny head, I can’t wait to put him in a baby carrier, give his a splash of some fresh blood and give him a disembodied finger to gnaw on
If only I can get my girls to leave him be. Seriously, they carry him around the house and beg to make him wiggle and growl. I swear, they are going to run out his battery before the zombie march can get here.

Happy Friday my cheeky little love monkeys! Did you toss this week back like a martini; shaken, not stirred? You’re 007 right you did!
Alrighty my lovelies, you might have seen some talk on Facebook and Twitter about a Divinity prequel short. Well I’m here to tell you that it is true and my awesome publisher, Omnific Publishing, is working diligently to get it up and running for my wonderful readers! Until then, let me share with you the amazing cover and the official back cover summary!
Gasping for air inside an ice-filled tub. Convulsing from an electric shock to the brain. Struggling against restraints that bind and gag…
Just another day at Agnews, The Great Asylum for the Insane.
But for Evelyn, the night is so much worse.
“Demons—wearing white coats and crisp white hats—prowled the halls, searching for a patient who would serve as their evening’s entertainment. And from the moment I’d arrived, I seemed to be their favorite play toy.”
A young woman committed to the asylum during the late 19th century, Evelyn knows she isn’t insane, that the creatures she sees and suffers at the clawed hands of aren’t hallucinations. Yet she’s all alone but for their unholy company and the doctors trying to vanquish these “visions.”
All alone but for the others who can see what Evelyn sees, too. And they’re coming for her.
In this short-story prequel to Patricia Leever’s Divinity, we meet Evelyn Brighton before the tattoos—before a century of training and supernatural combat makes her an official bad-ass. Both eerie and endearing, Clarity transports us back to Evelyn’s origins, revealing the crucial turning point that delivers her from misunderstood maiden to deadly demon hunter.
~~~
Now when I saw this cover I couldn’t help but see what it would look like next to Divinity and you know what? It’s looks so freaking COOL!
And then I thought, you know what, that would make a freaking awesome wallpaper so I slapped that sucker on my laptop AND my phone and you can too! Just right click and save and you too can have Evie as your wallpaper!!
I’m still waiting to hear when Clarity will be released, but I do know what it will be really really soon and of course as soon as mama monkey knows, my little love monkeys will know, so stay tuned!
Be go to each other and have an awesome weekend!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings me spooky little love monkeys! Did everyone have a grand time following the Divinity Blog Tour?
I know, I know, I dang near missed the Monday bus, but good lord, it’s been one of those days! Holy Toledo, I didn’t think I’d EVER get to sit down!
Well, now that the blog tour is done, I’m going to be trying to get back into my blog schedule, which means it’s Music Monday time! YAY!!
And since it’s October this month’s blog is going to be chock full of my favorite thing, HALLOWEEN!!! WOOHOO!!!
I’m going to bring you some of my favorite Halloween things, including how things are going with my Zombie March 2012 costume
So, let’s get this party started!! This song here is very new and albeit not technically Halloween-y, but it is the way I listen to it, let’s take a look at Kiss You Inside Out by Hedley
Like I said, on the surface this sounds like a very lovey dovey song and he just loves her so much right?
Yeah, well, when I here this song, a twisted little horror movie plays out in my head. I’m seeing this handsome dude that goes to bars and picks up unsuspecting girls to take back to his hotel room/apartment/house to seduce. In said seduction, he has his little ritual where he’s pampering them and making them feel all special and stuff until he goes to kiss them…
That’s when my twisted wee brain takes over and I can see him literally kissing them inside out. Hmmm, maybe this is fodder for a new demon in an upcoming book. A demon that literally kisses his victims inside out only to leave the empty husk laying around like a shirt that’s been discarded. And you have no idea how much I giggle when this song is on!
Yes, I realize how twisted this all sounds and I quite possibly need help, but really, “normal” Patty is quite boring and I only let her out when I need to be all serious and junk
By the way, don’t forget that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month so get your boobies checked! As much as I loathe the beasts I lug around on my chest, I think dying would suck a whole lot more. So get your mamograms and do your boobie checks! DO IT!
Okay, I’m outtie my squishy little marshmallow peepy love monkeys! Stay tuned, for more blog fun and updates on the Zombie March 2012 costume project!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidy ho my superdy duper little love monkeys!
Look at me! I didn’t forget to do the Music Monday post today!! GO ME!!
This post is a little hard for me to really do. Why you might ask? Well, you all know I like to add a little visual aid to my posts and this one was a hard to do.
Mainly because I didn’t want to scare the bejesus out of anyone with how I see the big baddies in Divinity. I’m not going to lie to you, they are some pretty gruesome individuals. So, I trolled around the web and I did find some excellent visual images of how I see the demons in this tale, however, the photos were really quite scary and I didn’t want to send anyone running and screaming from my wee little corner of the web. That being said, I did happen across an image that I thought I could share with you. Now, this isn’t an image of demons, those were all just too much, this is of another baddie in the tale, goblins. And I apologize in advance for anyone I might scare.
Heehee! Gotcha! Seriously though, this is how I envisioned the goblins but I love that they are drinking tea
Okay, I DO have some music to go with the demons in the story! This piece just oozes what the demons are all about, Sweet Dreams by Marilyn Manson.
Now, you’ll notice that this isn’t they official video because quite frankly the actual video creeps me the hell out! Actually, Marilyn Manson himself gives me the heebs but I think that’s what gives this song the right vibe for my demons. Why does this song say Divinity demon to me? Well, let’s look at the first couple of lines of the book, shall we…
~~~
Demons.
They’re everywhere, hiding in plain sight. Lawyers, doctors, politicians, the guy on the corner, the lady ringing up your groceries, your kid’s principal, or the over-exuberant PTA mom who runs every bake sale and fundraiser at the school.
~~~
See what I mean? The words to Sweet Dreams alone speak volumes as to how I envision my demons, but add in Marilyn Manson’s creep factor and it’s a dead ringer. Heck I can practically hear it when I read that part there.
Anywhoo, that’s all I have for you today! Stay tuned for more blog fun later this week!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my scrunchy little love monkeys! Did you gut this week, stuff it with frankincense and myrrh, wrap it in linen strips and close it up in a sarcophagus? You’re mummerifically right you did!
So, did you see my new trailer? It’s kind of awesome!
Oh, there is the giveaway on Goodreads, where we are giving away not one, but TWO copies of Divinity!
Okay, so yesterday I was reminded of a Facebook conversation I had with my friend Cindy regarding the wearing of pajamas all day and the rules that go with that practice. What reminded me of that? Well, on my way to pick up my girls from school there was a mom walking to the school in what was clearly pajama pants.
Now look, I’m all about owning what you wear and all that stuff, but there have to be some kind of rules in place or otherwise shit like this happens.
Also, as a stay-at-home mom, I’m alllllll about kicking around the house in my pjs all day. HOWEVER, after discussing this with my friend, we agreed that there should be rules for the practice of all day pajama wearing.
Rule #1- If you are going to be in public you MUST put on clothes of some sort UNLESS you will NOT be exiting your vehicle or it happens to be October 31st, in which case the wearage of pajamas is completely acceptable.
Rule #2- At no time is wearing your pajamas to the store okay. Ever. You can toss some sweats or some yoga pants on but your SpongeBob SquarePants drawers need to stay home.
Rule #3- Wearing sweats do NOT count as sweats if you are accompanying them with a pair of slippers. The wearing of the slippers transforms the sweats into pajama pants.
Rule #4- If you have asked yourself, “Hmmm, will anyone be able to tell that these are my pajama pants?” the answer is always a resounding YES! If you even half contemplate that said pants MIGHT pass as actual pants, no, no the can not!
Rule #5- I can’t reiterate Rule #1 enough, it is NEVER okay to wear your pajama pants in public! Sweats/yoga pants are just as comfy as pajamas and they are completely acceptable in public.
By the way, my friend Cindy has an awesome blog, everyone go give her some love will ya?
Alrighty, that’s all I have for you today, stay tuned for more blog fun next week!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidy ho my lovely little love monkeys!
Just a quick little pop in to point you to the direction of my AWESOME new trailer! I have to admit when I saw it I could hardly contain myself and it looked something like this…
Needless to say, I was just a skosh excited
So where is this loverly piece of thematic awesomeness? Well it’s headlining this week’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce! over on the Omnific blog site!
Have I mentioned how excited I am for this book? OH! I just ordered some Divinity SWAG and when I get it, I will most certainly share it with you
Stay tuned for more blog fun and more deets on Divinity! WOOT!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hola my magnificent little love monkeys!
So yeah, I completely and totally got all thrown off by the holiday on Monday and completely and totally forgot about my Music Monday blog. I know, I know, major epic fail on my part. I promise I’ll remember next Monday and have something right nice for you darlings
Alrighty, I think it’s time I come clean with a slight obsession that I have. Okay, so my hubs would probably say it’s more than a “slight” obsession, but at least I admit it.
I am obsessed with those Monster High Dolls. Luckily I have not one, but two daughters that help me feed this obsession as they love them as much as I do. It has been my goal to get them as many of these dolls as I can and lord knows there is a TON of them. As it is, they have 36 plus 5 make-a-monster kits and 3 add on packs for said make-a-monster kits which make endless doll creations thanks to a multitude of arms, legs, heads, bodies, and wigs, not to mention the selection of animal ears, tails and wings.
Now, why do I say this is obsession? I mean, besides the fact that I have a near innate need to search out every doll I can get my grubby little mitts on. See, when I get a new doll for my girls (yes they are FOR MY GIRLS) I must, MUST be the first one to put hands on the new goody. Yes, you read that right, I have to be the one to open the package, put anything on the doll that goes on it, brush their hair first and place them on their display stand. Sad, I know, but at least I own it. After that the girls can have at the doll and strip all it’s clothes off. Why is it that girls do that? I know I did it when I was a kid whenever I got a new doll, took it out of the package and take every stitch of clothing off of the thing. My grandma even tried to pull a fast one on me once and made me a doll with the clothes sewn on. True story!
But I digress, so there you have it, my deep dark obsession with Monster High Dolls. Oh! I almost forgot! I did get to meet the creator of the Monster High line at Comic Con 2011 and yes, I completely fangirled out all over the poor man but he did sign some Monster High mini comic books for my girls which they cherish
Well, that’s all I have for you today. Do you have a deep dark obsession that you want to air out? Come on, let that bad boy out of the closet, it feels gooooooood! Stay tuned for more blog fun!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hola my smooshy little love monkeys!
So, yeah, I make no bones about my age, I’m 41 and proud of it! However, being 41, my body is preparing for the big girlie change which means I’m smack dab in the middle of perimenopause and I have to say, this shit SUCKS!
I mean, in all honesty, I can live with the scatterbrained/memory thing and the lack of sleep, heck I’ve dealt with that my whole life so no big there. I don’t have to worry about the whole missed period/lack of fertility thing because I don’t have a uterus anymore, but I still get “phantom” cramps with is weird as all hell.
By far the worst and most horrific part of this whole merging into menopause thing are the hot flashes.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. I’m not even kidding. It is some ungodly heat that starts in the core of your soul and starts to burn you alive from the inside out. They’re super awesome in the middle of the night because they are usually followed up with a bout of the chills!
Woo. Hoo.
Oh and one more thing, this has nothing to do with perimenopause, it’s just part of getting old. I’ve found that I’m about a breath away from needing those reading glasses. How do I know? Well, I tried to thread a needle the other day and couldn’t find the hole to save my life. Not to mention I’m having to hold things farther away to read them. Mind you, this I can live with as well. I’m going to rock those reading glasses damn it! I’m going full tilt with a banging chain to hang those puppies on too!
Okay, that’s all I have for you today my darlings. Stay tuned for Happy Friday on, yep you guessed it, Friday!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidy ho my magical love monkeys!
Can I just say that I can’t WAIT to share the cover for Divinity with you, but alas, I must. And I have to say that this is a major exercise in my self control because I fully admit that I am horrible at keeping things like this to myself. Hell, I want nothing more than to get my van vinyl wrapped in my cover and drive all over town with a PA system telling the world (or at least all of Santa Clarita) about my book. Yeah, I’m a nerd like that.
But, I digress, the reveal will come soon and I’ll be the first to point y’all in the right direction!
Now onto our musical section of Monday! On Friday I introduced you to the bossman, Mr. Alexander Gaius, brought to you by the oh so nomtastic Jude Law…
Dadgum he wears a suit well, doesn’t he? Whew! Anywho, because of said suitage, so without further ado, I give you his musical “theme” song, Misirlou by the awesome 2Cellos…
I find this piece elegant yet there is a bad-ass edge to it and something tells me that our Mr. Alexander Gaius may have a bit of bad-ass buried under that suit somewhere.
So there ya have it! I urge you to check out more of the tunes from 2Cellos as they are a-may-zing! Have an excellent week, and stay tuned for more blog fun in the week!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my perky little love monkeys! Did you wrap this week up into a neat little package with a big red bow to prove how much dominance you had over it? You’re flingin’ flangin’ right you did!
Okay so, keeping in the vein of introducing character’s from my upcoming novel, Divinity, let’s take a peek at someone that is pretty important to the story. He’s the head of the house, the direct line to the big wigs at Lebriga, the boss man himself, Mr. Alexander Gaius…
Brought to you by the amazingly beautiful, Mr. Jude Law! *dreamy sigh* Now, as I mentioned, Alexander is the boss. He’s always proper, always in a suit and is that guy that just gets better looking with age.
I think Jude is a perfect fit for Alexander because of that reason. As pretty as he was when he first sauntered onto the movie screen, he’s even better looking now, don’t you think?
He just exudes everything about Alexander, the fact that he is just so pretty to look at is just a bonus
Okie dokie, that’s all I have for you today, stay tuned for Alexander’s theme music for on Monday and as soon as I can share the cover with the world, I promise that you will all get a peeky-poo!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Bonjour ma petit love monkeys!
How about a little eye candy to get you over the the hump that is Wednesday?
Now, I was going to use a smaller version of this delectable photo of Mr. Joe Manganiello, but…come on…he’s wet AND dirty. Did I mention that he’s WET?!? Y’all know my views on hot, wet men, it’s kind of a given.
Okay so, now that I have your attention, let’s move on. So I just got back from an evening at the 5th level of Hell, aka, Chuck E Cheese. Dear Lord, that place is just one giant petri dish isn’t it? Ick. I truly think that when horribly bad people die they are sent to live forever inside a Chuck E Cheese and listen to nothing but recorder music, for that is what I believe is the official instrument in Hell.
Anywhoo, there was one good thing about Chez Cheese, it is incredibly loud. Like, you can’t even form a semi intelligent thought loud. But luckily that was the one advantage to my evening. You see, it’s no big secret that I’m a gassy gal. I heard recently that a person only farts 12 times a day. Really? Come on, I KNOW I can bust 12 times in a freaking HOUR! Oh yeah, it’s true, I don’t deny it and if you are around me for any decent length of time you will find it out. Granted some days are gassier than others and it was one of those days. But thanks to the ear splitting, shrill child shrieks I could pass the loudest, cheek vibrating fart and no one was the wiser.
Which brings me to wonder why are farts so wrong? Why is it only acceptable for guys to rip ‘em and laugh at them? Why is it wrong for women to find them funny? I mean, I do and I’m not going to lie, especially when I’m the farter in a loud venue. I don’t know why but it’s something about it being my little secret that makes it so giggle worthy. But why are women looked down upon of feel like they have to be “above” such humor? I applaud the women of the movie Bridesmaids because they took on the fart and some pretty nasty stuff and showed you that it was okay for a woman to laugh at it. And yet I still know women that refuse to fart in front of their spouses or significant others. Shouldn’t that be the one person that you should be able to fart in front of? If not then I’ve been doing it wrong for 21 years because my hubs knew I farted when we were dating. I figured if he was going to love me, he was going to have to love all the parts of me, fart parts included! So I say, ladies, let ‘er rip! Crack one off the next time you are relaxing and watching TV because if you think your man (or lady) doesn’t think you fart, I have news for you, you can’t hold in a fart when you are sleeping.
Okay, that’s all I have for you today my darlings, stay tuned for more blog fun on Friday! And remember, everyone farts, it’s okay to admit that you do, it’s also okay to admit that they are funny, you know you laugh when no one is looking anyway
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my fuzzy little love monkeys! Did you leap on this week and take it down like a lioness going after a gazelle? You’re rip roarin’ right you did!
So, a couple of weeks ago I introduced you to Evie and I mentioned her handler and that I’d be telling you more about her later. Well guess what? It’s later!! Today, I have for you, our first handler, Miss Tessa Jean Mayweather.
Brought to you by the lovely, Emily Browning! Now Tess is quite the character. She’s goofy, she’s fun and quirky.
Tess’ job, as Evie’s handler, is to work behind the scenes. She’s the one that gets all the deets on an assignment, she makes sure Evie has what she needs to get the job done. These two have been working together from day one, which works out to be about 112 years. That’s a long ass time!
The hunter and handler bond is one that is tighter than any other bond imaginable, it’s something almost otherworldly and cosmic. As a matter of fact, one basically cannot exist without the other, the connection is that tight.
Alrighty, there you have our first handler! Whatcha think?
Don’t forget, you still have TWO DAYS to enter in the Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop Giveaway for your chance to win an ARC of Divinity AND an ecopy of Cat O’ Nine Tails! Just click this little guy **HERE** and you get not one, not two, but THREE chances to win! You know how I like my threes
Okay, that’s all I have for you today! Stay tuned for Miss Tessa’s theme music on Monday as well as our giveaway winner! Have a safe and fun weekend my lovelies!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hola my cheeky little love monkeys! Here’s hoping you don’t need a grappling hook to get over the hump of the week that is Wednesday. Well here is a little something to give you a little pick-me-up! I finally managed to tackle the wonders of Polyvore and was able to put together a little character wardrobe of sorts. I did one last week for Evie that I posted on my Tumblr but thought I’d put Daniel’s here. It was fun because it was like playing dress-up with my own characters! So, this is what I put together for Daniel…
Pretty cool huh? Notice that I slipped Chris Evans in there? *heehee* The tattooed guy depicts what some of Daniel’s tattoos might look like and the phoenix and the Kanji symbol are part of the story as well and not just thrown in just because. Wanna know what it is? Well you have a chance to find out before anyone else by winning a Divinity ARC in the Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop! Just click this link **HERE!!** and you have not one, not two but THREE chances to win! Plus I’m giving away an ecopy of Cat O’ Nine Tails AND the winner of my giveaway gets entered into the big giveaway for a $100 gift card to B&N!
Okies, that’s pretty much all I have for you today, stay tuned for Friday for some more blog fun and meet another Divinity character!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidy ho my fabuloso little love monkeys! Guess what?
IT’S BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK!!
Can you hear my squeals of delight? Oh yeah, there’s squealing!
Seriously, I could go on and on but let’s get to why you’re really here–you want to know what kind of theme music I’ve cooked up for our hot little hero, Daniel Summers! Did you miss his intro on Friday? Fear not, you can check it out *HERE* Now, why did I pick this song? Well because simply put, it reminds me a Daniel. It has a hard edge to it and it’s a little bit dirty. Not pervy, mind you, just a little smathering of dirt, kind of like Daniel. He’s a guy, down to his core and every guy out there, no matter how nice he is, has a bit of the dirty in him.
I can dang near picture Daniel doing his thang, training with Evie or kicking some demon booty with this cranking in the back.
Okay, now let’s get to this giveaway I’ve teased you with! I’ve joined the Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop and I get to do two things that I LOVE to do, talk about hot boys AND give stuff away!! So, without further ado, who could be hotter this summer than one, Daniel SUMMERS! Hows that for convenient character naming huh?
Brought to you by the “ZOMG he’s so pretty!” Chris Evans! Okay, so what makes a hero hot for me? Yeah, it’s great to have a slammin’ body and let’s face it, his bod is frickin’ slammin! I mean, I have never wanted to lick a complete stranger as much as I want to lick this guy. But what makes a hero super hot for me is his sense of humor and smile. Kinda like this…
Doesn’t that just make you giggle like an idiot and your panties melt off?
Want to see more Hot Heroes? Check out the hop, brought to you by the lovely H.D. Thomson, Bella Media Management & Caris Roane…
Now for the giveaway! Okay what I have for my darling little love monkeys is a chance to be one of the first to read my new Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance novel, Divinity!!
That’s right! I’m giving away an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of Divinity!! Now keep in mind the ARC isn’t quite ready yet, but it shall be very soon! However, what IS ready for your reading pleasure is my Historical Romance novel, Cat O’ Nine Tails and because I love you all so much I’m giving that away as well! Oh yeah! It’s a twofer! Actually it’s a threefer, because the winner of my contest gets entered into the BIG contest, held by our amazing hosts, for a $100 B&N gift card!
How do you enter my giveaway? Well, I’ve found a cool new entry thing that gives you 3 options to enter so you can enter up to 3 times! Keep your fingers crossed that it works like I want it to, just Follow this little linky HERE!!
Okay, that’s all I have for you today, hopefully the giveaway entry link thing works like it should, if not, I’ll be back in to fix it, ASAP! Stay tuned for more blog fun!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my excellent little love monkeys! Did you shove this week out the door like a parent shooing their kids off to the first day of school after a gruelingly long summer? You’re dancing in the street because the kids are back in school right you did!
So yeah, my kids are heading back to school next week and as much as I love those monkeys, you might just hear my cheer of joy from every corner of the world. I still can’t believe the oldest is a senior, the middle kid is starting high school and it’s the twins last year in grade school! What the heck man? Wasn’t I just taking them all to kindergarten? I always used to hear older parents talk about how fast kids grow up and they weren’t kidding! Cherish your babies because the next thing you know they’re taller than you or you’re teaching them how to shave their legs and buying bras.
Okay, let’s move on before I burst into tears because my babies aren’t “babies” anymore, let’s check out the next character in Divinity‘s roster, shall we?
Today we are going to look at our male lead, the hot piece of tasty hunk flesh that no proper romance novel should be without, the guy that could melt you into a puddle of giggling goo with just a wink and a smirk…the delectable Mr. Daniel Summers!
Now Daniel is the new guy in the house. He’s Lebriga’s latest recruit and the powers that be have decided to have seasoned vet, Evie, train him in the ways of hunting demons. Granted, he’s has some training, and comes onto the scene with a cocky swagger and loves getting under Evie’s skin. But ol’ Danny Boy is still pretty green and Evie is all too happy to put him in his place, which she seems to think is on his back, under her boot. However, there is more to these two than trainer and trainee, a bond that goes deeper than either one of them can ever imagine.
Okay, so let me play casting director and cast my dream Daniel! If I had my way, I’d cast the oh-so-tasty, Chris Evans as Daniel.
*dreamy sigh* Do I need to break down the reason why?
I mean, really, on top of being one of the most beautiful examples of male breeding stock, he’s funny! Hot and funny? That’s like the killer combo man! Plus, he looks like this…
And this…
AND THIS…
Without a shirt on! I, for one, don’t think he should wear a shirt EVER! Do you hear that Mr. Evans?! Shirts are overrated!
*ahem* Anywho, my naughty little love monkeys, that’s all I have for you today, stay tuned to hear Daniel’s theme song on Monday and a very special giveaway opportunity! Ohhhhh yeah! I know you loves you some giveaways!!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Hidy ho my wondrous little love monkeys! Did you have a great weekend? Mine wasn’t too shabby, can’t complain
So, starting today I’m going to be brightening up your Mondays with some inspirational music from Divinity! What does that mean exactly? Well, it means that this is music that has either inspired a character or a part of the book, a piece of tunage that I would listen to over and over again in a continuous loop whilst writing.
This first piece is what I would listen to when I was trying to get into the head of one of my main characters, one Miss Evelyn Elizabeth Brighton, or Evie as everyone calls her. Since I introduced you to her on Friday’s blog *HERE* I thought you might want to hear what rolls through my head when I’m in her head. Now, this music might be a little on the harsher side for some people, heck it’s a little harsh for me to tell you the honest truth, but it was what I felt screamed Evie, especially when she is at her best and kicking some serious demon tail! She’s not overtly girlie and she’d just assume take a beast’s head off as say hello to it. She is 100%, demon hunting bad-ass and that is what this song says to me. Here is Pretty Handsome Awkward by The Used…
I think what I like best about this is that it grabs you by the short hairs right out of the box and doesn’t let go until the last note, kinda like Evie.
Did you like it? Does it make you want to jump into Evie’s skin and ride the ride with her? I sure hope so! Stay tuned for more blog fun and have a great Monday my darlings!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Happy Friday my squiggly little love monkeys! Did you knock this week out of medal contention like an all-star athlete going for Olympic gold? You’re diddly dadgum right you did!
So, as I mentioned in my last blog, the release date for my upcoming novel, Divinity, is rapidly approaching! EEP! I’m equal parts excited and nervous, which is to be expected, I suppose. I mean this is my blood, sweat and tears I’m releasing unto the world to feast upon and if I wasn’t freaking out I should probably have my head examined, right?
Speaking of feasting, I’m here today to introduce you all to the first character for you to feast upon! I have for you today, our female lead, our feminine bad-ass extraordinaire, the first character to claw her way out of my brain…the incomparable, Miss Evelyn Elizabeth Brighton!
Evie is a 135yr old demon hunter. As a matter of fact, she is lead hunter in Lebriga’s L.A. based house. She and her handler, Tess (more on her later) specialize in spells, incantations and magic. Evie is also the house tattooist, inking her fellow hunters with pertinent spells of protection and strength, weaved into works of art that would rival the most prevalent tattoo artist in existence. Born in the late 19th century in northern California and claiming to see demons amongst societies upper crust, Evie was institutionalized for insanity at Agnews Asylum before she was taken in by Lebriga and trained to hunt the demons that haunt this plane of existence.
Now, if I could cast the movie, I would cast America’s Next Top Model runner-up, Raina Hein as Evie.
She just has a bad-ass sort of magical look about her that just screams Evie. Not to mention I’ve had a major girl crush on her ever since I saw her on ANTM.
I love the way her mouth slightly curves up at the edges, I find that so captivating. So Raina, if you are out there and my wee little blog has fallen into your lap somehow, please be my Evie
Alrighty, my fabulously wonderful little love monkeys, this is all I have for you today, stay tuned for the next introduction, our male lead, Daniel Summers! You won’t wanna miss that either, he’s tasty
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my fantabulous little love monkeys!
I know, long time no blog, but sometimes you just need to take some time to decompress, ya know? So that’s what I did. I even worked in family vacation during which time I didn’t even take my laptop out of the bag! I know right?!
However, now that I’m back and recharged it’s time to get you all familiar with what’s what!
What does that mean? Well, it means a couple of things, but what it boils down to is that you are going to be hearing a lot more from me. We’re talking updates on how things are coming along as Divinity’s release date approaches, introduction to Divinity’s characters and who I would cast in them if it were up to me, the Divinity SWAG I have in store, quotes from Divinity and ARCs up for grabs at some point or another. I’m wicked excited to bring you all into this new little world I’ve created and I can’t wait for all the fun to begin!
That being said, let’s start this party off with the back page blurb for Divinity, I guess you could say that this is the introduction to Divinity and what it’s all about! Now, I know I’ve posted this before but it was a while ago and I want to start this off right, so here we go, Divinity!
~~~
Demons.
They’re everywhere, hiding in plain sight. Chances are, you’ve interacted with one or two of them in your lifetime without even realizing it…
Demon hunter Evelyn Brighton saves unsuspecting humans from the malevolent creatures masquerading around them every day. Working under the Lebriga Corporation’s direction, she never fails to bring her A-game with her keen skill, fiercely independent spirit, and the best weapon in her arsenal: the Divinity blade.
Evelyn’s world is turned on its ear, however, when she is ordered to train cocky new recruit Daniel Summers. They both feel an instinctive pull drawing them to one another, the ancient spells tattooed into their skin illuminating whenever the two hunters come into contact. But with evil looming over the city of Los Angeles, Evelyn and Daniel’s mutual competitiveness and sense of duty to Lebriga and all humankind forces them to hold back their desires. Will their restraint be enough to keep them focused and save southern California, or will the dark forces prevail?
Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Divinity is an action-filled, fast-paced marriage of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Edgy, witty, and sexy, it will bind you in its spell.
~~~
There ya are, the basics of Divinity! Tune in on Friday and you can meet Evelyn Brighton!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my lively little love monkeys!
Do you ever find yourself so frustrated with other people that you just want to shake some sense into them or possibly give them a good punch to the throat? Yeah, me too.
But then before I can ball up my fist or grab some poor soul I stop to think, maybe they are just having a crappy day. Maybe they just got the worst news ever and are trying to cope with just existing. Granted, maybe they are just complete assholes that are only looking out for themselves and don’t care who they have to step on or shove out of the way to get ahead in line. However, as naive as it may sound, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Over the weekend I was at the market, which I try to avoid on the weekends because that seems to be when it is the most crowded, but as I was shopping there was a man trying to get out of an aisle that only had enough room for one cart. On one side, workers had a giant rolly thing that they were stocking the shelves with and on the other a woman parked her cart, without regard for anyone else that was trying to pass. Now, I could have just shoved my way through the hole like 3 other people before me did, but I stepped aside and let the man out of the aisle. And then something truly odd happened…
He smiled, sincerely and said, “Thank you.”
Two words and a smile. That was all it took to make my horrid trip to the weekend crazed market worth it. So, I continue on and the lady in front of me in line wasn’t pleasant in the least, which I figured was the universes way of balancing out the nice man. But then, as I was heading out I was behind a woman with a cart and a man in a wheelchair. I assumed they were together because they were talking and smiling but as we exited the store she turned to him and asked where he was parked.
What?!
I watched as they went to his car and she took his bags out of the cart and loaded them into his car for him before she walked halfway across the parking lot to her own car.
Now, I’m not ashamed to admit that I stood there, in front of the market, and nearly started to cry. Why can’t there be more people like that? Why can’t there be more people willing to take one second out of their life to help someone else. I mean it’s not that hard, it could be just as simple as two words and a smile. It should be second nature, shouldn’t it?
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my hot little love monkeys!
Are you keeping cool in this unGodly summer heat? Are you remembering to drink your fluids and put on your sunscreen? Don’t make me get my mom face on!
So it’s Thursday and you know what that means, it’s time for Omnific Publishing’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce!
Oh yeah, you’re looking at squirrel on a hippity hop! Mind you, y’all have no idea how much this photo scares the crap out of me, because I’m terrified of squirrels. I know what you’re saying, “But they are soooo cute!”
Cute my arse! They are evil beasts that attack when you least expect it. How do I know this? Experience. Oh yeah, I’m stalked by squirrels on the regular, and one the size of a cat lives in my palm tree, biding his time for a moment to strike…AGAIN! I have narrowly escaped his squirrely claws once and I won’t be caught awares again.
It was November and I had just gotten home from a Costco run. I was unloading the van and as I walked back out into the garage I saw the biggest squirrel I’d ever seen standing in my path. Now, I’m thinking I’ll just shoo him off and finish my unloading.
So I wave my arms and yell “Shoo!” at the thing and I swear, the damn thing cocked an eyebrow at me like, “Really? That’s all you got?” Since that didn’t work I thought I’d stomp at it because I happened to be wearing combat type boots.
So, I stomp towards the beast and shout again, “SHOO! SCAT!” to which the squirrel just looked at me like, “Bitch, please!” Okay, third time’s a charm right?
So, I raise up my foot and start to shove at hellbeast, once again bellowing, “SHOO! SCAT! GET OUT OF HERE!” Then the unthinkable happened. The evil creature reared up, latched onto my boot with its squirrely talons and proceeded to lick the bottom of my boot. Yeah, he could have been just tasting something I might have stepped in, but I think not, he was sampling the goods, deciding whether or not he wanted to scale my leg, latch onto my neck and rip open my jugular so he could drag my lifeless body back to his squirrely lair.
So, I begin screaming and shaking my foot, flinging the beast across the garage. Ever since that day, this squirrel and his furry minions torment me, sitting on the fence just outside the dinning room window, watching me, chattering at me outside my bedroom window, oh yeah, I have their number. It’s a conspiracy I tell you!
I’m sorry, I got a little carried away there. Where was I? Oh yeah, the bounce!
You know how it works, join in, bounce around and all that goodness!
That’s all I have for you today, behave and keep cool my loves!
Until next time,
Hola my darling little love monkeys!
So, we had quite the adventure last night here in Casa de Leever. Hubs had gone upstairs and I was buttoning things up downstairs with Miss Emma at my heels yammering on like a Chatty Cathy doll. Suddenly she says, “What does Athena have in her mouth?”
Now, those of you that don’t know, this is Athena, our (MY) one year old kitten…
Athena likes to roam the backyard at night, snatching up those big moths. She always pops through the dog door, a moth clenched in her teeth, with the look of, “What? I don’t have anything in my mouth.” She then proceeds to the downstairs bathroom to let her catch loose for a moment of play before she eats it. Ew. So naturally I wave off Em’s question with, “Probably one of those moths.”
Then I look over at the dog, Gretchen, who is looking at the cat with a total,”WTF is THAT?” look complete with that doggy head cock thing that they do. And then Athena turns around and she has A MOUSE IN HER MOUTH!!!
This is about the time that Em and I completely girled out and started screaming like a couple of…well, girls. Said screaming spooked the cat and she headed up the stairs with the mouse still IN HER MOUTH!
About that time, Erin poked her head out of her room to see what the rukus was and caught sight of cat and mouse making a beeline upstairs, where she was. She then girled out and started screaming. Spooked again, Athena dropped the mouse, which started scampering down the stairs, which in turn sent Em and I into fits from out perch on the back of the couch. Athena, snapped back into the moment by the screeching, caught the mouse again and started down the stairs IN MY DIRECTION!
More girlie screaming ensued which triggered another drop of the mouse, which took off FOR MY PURSE! Luckily Theens caught the mouse again and by this time, Jasen had made his way downstairs and took the mouse from her.
After all the freaking out was over and Em and I decided it was safe to get off the back of the couch, we found multiple mousy turds where Athena had caught it, literally scaring the shit out of it. Needless to say, my night of sleep was quite restless as I was paranoid that Athena was going to catch the critter again and drop it in my bed.
So, how was YOUR evening?
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my awesome little love monkeys!
So it’s Thursday and you know what that means…
Yep, that’s right, it’s Author! Author! Blog Bounce Time!! Look at this guy, he’s totally committed to that belly flop, isn’t he? Is he nuts? I know we’ve all done a belly flop at least once in our lives, either intentional or not, and you know what? Those suckers HURT! I just don’t get the point of throwing a flop on purpose. That SMACK when you hit the water…just hearing it makes me cringe.
Anywhoodle, you all know the drill right? Head on over to the Omnific Blog for all the deets and the links to other blogs. And guess what? They are also previewing the cover for The Winemakers Dinner with this guy Dr. Ivan McYummipants…
Okay, okay, his last name isn’t really McYummipants but from what I hear of the book *giggle*
Jeebus, I got sidetracked again. So, go forth my darlings, check out the other blogs!
Stay tuned!
Until next time,
Patty <3
Salutations my salacious little love monkeys!
Well, it’s Sunday and you know what that means? Yep, it’s time for SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!! Brought to you by the lovely ladies at Six Sentence Sunday!
You know the rules, right?
via Six Sentence Sunday FAQ page:
Pick six (6) sentences from anything you like (it can be from a Work in Progress (WiP), something you recently sold, something you hope to sell or even something already under contract and available for purchase – and don’t worry, Six Sentence Sunday is for published AND unpublished writers). Then post them on your blog on Sunday. That’s all there is to it!
Keep in mind what I’m going to give you IS signed with Ominfic Publishing but I’m still working with my awesome editors, which makes this technically WiP because when something is in editing, you just don’t know what is going to stay and what is going to have to go or be tweaked.
And, without further ado, here are your six sentences from our leading lady, Miss Evie Brighton!
~~~
This assignment was also going to call for me to work some serious magic to get the job done, and not just the usual scent-masking charm either. Because this nasty Mo liked his meat young, it called for a pretty hefty age spell.
As I plucked the small white envelope out of the assignment-order packet Tess had tucked into my backpack, I tested the weight in my hand. I could see that it was thicker and heavier than normal, and I knew what that meant. The more powder used, the younger the result. Man alive, I was really going to enjoy sending this putrid sack of pseudo-human flesh back to the hell or whatever dimension he had slithered out of.
~~~
This demon sounds like a real piece of work, doesn’t he? So, you think Evie can knock him back to the hell or whatever dimension he had slithered out of? Be sure to check out my Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance novel, Divinity when it releases in early fall to find out! You can even put it on your “to-be-read” shelf on Goodreads already!
Anywho, I hope you are having a lovely weekend my darlings and please stay tuned for more blog fun! I’ve got some fun things happening this month
Until next time,
Patty <3
Greetings my super duper little love monkeys!
Well it’s Thursday and you know what that means…
Yep, it is Author! Author! Blog Bounce time! I love this photo but I gotta tell ya, the only way you’d see me jumping off of the dock, willy nilly, into a lake would be if my entire body was on fire. Like literally on fire and the only way to put it out would be to plunge myself into the lake. I think I’ve mentioned before that I have water issues. I’m terrified of large bodies of water such as lakes and oceans. And if I choose to submerge myself into said large body of water I’m quite particular as to the condition of the water in question. Example, there will be NO getting into the water where I can’t touch the bottom if I can’t SEE the bottom. None of this jumping off a boat mid-lake, no leaping off of the dock or any of that nonsense. Why? Because I want to know what is swimming around underneath me contemplating eating me for lunch. Now, if I can actually see the bottom I would get in because I can see what is in there swimming with me. I’m also particular about the condition of the bottom that I might be touching. No slimy, weedy, mossy or anything like that. Ick. Seriously, I could go on and on about my issues with water and the creatures that live within it. There is a story about a family trip to an aquarium and a panic attack, but that’s a story for another day. Do you have a weird/unusual fear that makes absolutely no sense to anyone, even yourself?
Okay, y’all know the drill, head on over to the Omnific Blog and join the bounce or see who is bouncing along with me!
And don’t forget, you have until midnight tomorrow to enter the Lovestruck Giveaway hop! I’m giving away three books!
That’s all for today, my darlings, stay tuned for more blog fun!
Until next time,
Patty <3
